The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) works to ensure there is a publicly available inventory of stem cells for the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell anemia and other life-threatening diseases. Overall, the NMDP has over 295,000 cord blood units listed on their Be The Match Registry®.
More than 25,000 patients around the world have received cord blood transplants because parents have generously decided to donate their newborn’s umbilical cord blood to a public cord blood bank.
We are a certified member of the NMDP and are working to build a genetically diverse nationwide inventory of cord blood units for transplant. We currently store over 2,700 public cord blood units available for transplant.
